Warning:
Tanks look the same at first glance, but they differ from each other. The biggest difference is in the valves. The standard and most common outside diameter of the valve is 60mm. In practice, it can vary and is between 55 in 62mm.
EXTRA reducers are designed to fit all coarse threads on 60mm diameter (S60x6) valves. Due to slight differences in "standard" valve threads, the feel of the reducer may vary when installed. It may fit perfectly, it may go a little loose or a little tighter. When it is screwed all the way in, it is tight and fixed.
EXTRA reducers have a seal made of NBR Rubber with excellent sealing. However, it is recommended that the valve face is free of major imperfections.
Tip1:
Before installation, make sure that the cheek of the tank valve (where the reducer is to be installed) is smooth and undamaged. New tanks have an aluminium seal on the valve opening - if this is loosely removed, it can cause a poor seal. Any imperfections on the valve should be removed or sanded with sandpaper before the first installation of the pressure reducer.
Tip2:
When fitting any connector to this reducer, be sure to use Teflon tape. This is the only way to ensure a perfect seal and the correct position of the tap or connector.
Tip3:
Reducers EXTRA are original, of high quality and from a recognised European supplier. They are affordable and excellent for both garden irrigation and industrial use.
The lifetime of the reducers depends on the sun/frost exposure and the application. ECO < ROTO = BR = EXTRA.
