Warning:
Tanks look the same at first glance, but they differ from each other. The biggest difference is in the valves. The standard and most common outside diameter of the valve is 60mm. In practice, it can vary between 55 and 62mm.
ECO PLUS reducers are designed to fit all coarse threads on 60mm diameter valves (S60x6). Due to slight differences in the "standard" valve threads, the feel of the reducer may vary when installed. It may fit perfectly, it may go a little loose or a little tighter. When it is screwed all the way in, it is tight and fixed.
Tip1:
Before installation, make sure that the cheek of the tank valve (where the reducer is installed) is smooth and undamaged. New tanks have an aluminium seal on the valve opening - if this is superficially removed, it may be the cause of a poor seal of the reducer. Any imperfections on the valve should be removed or sanded with sandpaper before the first installation of the pressure reducer.
ECO PLUS Reducers have a seal made of harder foam (PE), which seals perfectly even if there are major irregularities on the valve. However, it is important to note that this can damage the seal, which may affect the seal during the next installation.
Tip2:
When fitting any connector to this reducer, be sure to use Teflon tape. This ensures a perfect seal and the correct position of the tap or connector.
Tip3:
ECO PLUS reducers are original, of high quality and from a renowned supplier. They are affordable and excellent for garden irrigation use and perform perfectly the function for which they are intended.
Despite careful production control, it can happen that one item in a few thousand comes in with a defect in the material. And even this will only show up if your tank is one of those with the maximum diameter acceptable for this reducer, i.e. 62mm. If you notice any defect that affects the function, please let us know.
Beware that there are many copies on the market that look similar at first glance but are of very poor quality.
